The Dancing Rumpelstiltskin Is AI — Now Make Your Own
That creepy little man was never in a 1987 movie. He was generated. Now drop him into your own video.

How Rumpelstiltskin AI puts the little man in your video
Pick one of his four moves, give him a background, and Rumpelstiltskin AI drops him into it. The background can be a photo or a short video from your phone. No photo handy? Tap one of the sample scenes under the upload box: a living room, a street, a kitchen or a park. There's no separate start button. As soon as your file is in, he gets to work.
He's the same little man in every video: our own AI-made version of the dancing Rumpelstiltskin, big head, thin blond comb-over, black velvet tailcoat and all. You change the scene around him. You can't put your own face on him. The whole Rumpelstiltskin meme is this one guy turning up where he doesn't belong, so he's the part that stays put.
The Meme Dance
The default, and the Rumpelstiltskin dance from the meme. It runs about 14 seconds and is cut the way the meme is cut: a full shot, then quick close-ups of his swaying head and his kicking feet. Then he jumps, flies off to the right, gets smaller as he crosses behind your scene, comes back in from the left while the camera pulls back, and lands where he started.
The Hop
Arms straight out to the sides, knees bent, bouncing on the spot. Five seconds, and the loop has no visible jump, so it repeats smoothly.
The Shush
He raises a finger to his lips with that smirk, holds it, then just stands there looking pleased with his secret. Five seconds.
The Spin
He turns all the way around on the spot. Five seconds.
What the free Rumpelstiltskin AI preview shows you
The preview plays the whole move once, start to finish, so with The Meme Dance you get to see the flight at the end. It's low resolution, plays muted and has a watermark in the corner. You don't need an account, and you get 5 free previews a day.
Not sure about the move? The four moves stay right under the preview. Tap another one and he dances in the same background again, no new upload needed. That counts as another free preview.
If you like your Rumpelstiltskin video, unlock it. The clean file has no watermark, a sharper picture and the full length: The Meme Dance plays once, about 14 seconds, and the other moves play twice for 10 seconds. If your background video is shorter than that, it plays forward and then backward to fill the time; if it's longer, he keeps dancing through it, up to 30 seconds. The sticker, GIF and other versions are made at the same time, so there's nothing extra to unlock.
Under the preview there are three ways to pay: unlock just this video, buy a 10-video pack, or go Pro. If you already have credits, you get a single button that tells you how many are left. Once a video is unlocked, you can also spend one more credit on an AI re-render, which redraws it so the light matches your scene.
Turn the dancing Rumpelstiltskin into stickers and GIFs
Every unlocked Rumpelstiltskin video comes with more than the MP4. You also get a square animated WhatsApp sticker with your background in it, a GIF for chats and comments, a transparent video of just him to lay over anything in an editor, and a green-screen version of just him for editors that remove green.
Want him on his own, with no background? There's a ready-made pack of six animated stickers: the head sway, the kick, the hop, the shush, the spin and the fly. It lives on the video to sticker converter page, along with how to get stickers into WhatsApp.
Where the dancing Rumpelstiltskin meme came from
In September 2026 a clip of a small, pale man in a velvet tailcoat, dancing in front of a pile of straw, started turning up all over TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Reposts labeled it as a scene from a Rumpelstiltskin film from 1978 or 1987. It was made with AI, and when people asked Reddit which film it came from, the top answer said exactly that. Green-screen cut-outs of him spread too, so people could put him in their own clips. The full story, and how to tell it's AI, is on Is Rumpelstiltskin AI real?
Rumpelstiltskin AI pricing
Previews are free, unlocking one video costs $7.90 with tax included, and the 10-video pack and the Pro plan are on the pricing page.
Questions about Rumpelstiltskin AI
Is this the site that made the Rumpelstiltskin video?
No. Rumpelstiltskin AI isn't connected to the viral clip, to whoever made it, or to any film or studio. Nobody has confirmed who made the clip in the first place. We generated our own version of him with AI, and that's the one you put in your videos here.
Why is there no sound?
The song people pair with him belongs to a record label and its songwriters. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube license music for use inside their own apps, and that covers a song you add in their editor, not one we put into a file. So you download a silent video and add the sound when you post. The AI dancing video generator page shows how on each app.
Why can't I download for free?
Because the clean file is the one thing we charge for. Picking moves, trying backgrounds and watching previews cost nothing, so you know exactly what you'd be paying for before you pay.
How long are my files kept?
Your uploaded background and your free preview are deleted after 24 hours. Unlocked videos and all their formats stay in your history for 30 days and are then deleted too, so download anything you want to keep.
Can I use a photo of someone else?
No. Use a photo or video of a place, a thing, a pet or yourself. Photos of other people and of anyone under 18 aren't allowed. Every background also goes through an automatic check, and if it doesn't pass, the preview is taken down and doesn't count toward your free ones.
